This important area of law is headed by Caroline Miles and John Peake who have both developed experience and skills in dealing with the complex Welfare Benefit legislation, which is constantly changing. They are assisted by Nadia Ali.
For the more vulnerable members of our society the obtaining of their full benefit entitlement is essential to their ability to provide food, shelter and warmth for themselves and their family. We strive to ensure that they can do this. It is often the case that many people are not aware of their full entitlement and we can, often at one meeting provide the advice they need to help them obtain their proper benefit entitlement.
We will advise about applications for the different benefits and as needed prepare submissions for Tribunal Hearings. Please note that because representation at appeals is not covered under the legal aid scheme, we do not normally attend appeal hearings.
If we feel that the Tribunal decision is wrong and can be challenged we will advise as to appeals to the Commissioners.
